Continuing the discussion from Steppers Do Not Move (but vibrate/make noise):
Welcome, Pedro! I went ahead and set this up as it’s own topic.
Thanks a lot, Cummins!
I´ve test the pairs and it seems that colours and positions are not perfect on the steppers (as many other people had said in this forum).
X axis is now alive! But Y and Z don´t turn, only make noise.
I checked all the steppers sepparately and they work, so I think the problem is in the wiring.
If you can help me, I would appreciate it a lot!
Colours come out from the sttepers on this way: Black-Green-Blue-Red (black/blue and green/red are pairs)
From the Ramps 1.4 come out theese cables, named: 1-2-3-4
Is it ok my connection?
Regards,
Pedro
That looks like it is going to put the coils on one, not 2 & 2.
Don’t worry about the colors, just look at this diagram:

Thanks for your answer Jeff!
I made the connections looking at that diagram… As I understand, the pic that I posted is the right way… but it doesn´t work, steppers only make noise.
Am I doing it good with the wiring?
Problem solved!
Power suply was not enough for the machine (I was using a 12V 5A strip LED one). Already changed and… yes!
Thanks for the help!
Next step is alligning all the axis…
Regards,
Pedro
