Wrong firmware

Hi,

This should be simple, but…

My SKR motor controller board is working, motors step etc, as is the TFT35 display, with just one little problem. The TFT end thinks it’s a 3D printer. I’d really prefer it to think it’s a MPCNC router. What am I missing ?

Hi, A little more info could help get you situated faster.

Did you buy the board here, if not where and what board is it? Did you flash the board or the screen, if so with what?

What do you mean it thinks it’s a 3D printer, what is it doing and what do you expect it to be doing?

Hi Ryan,

Yes - purchased fromV1. SKR Base board V1.2, TFT35 V3.0.

I had a problem with a damaged backlight, but assumed no code running. Backlight now sortof repaired. The two boards are working OK, touchscreen mode, single cable.

I have flashed both the screen and the SKR base board. With what - I’m at work so unsure

The prompts on the TFT are for a 3D printer (fans, extruder etc), expected MPCNC prompts.

The v1 touchscreen firmware has cnc style prompts. Does it show the v1 logo when it boots? There is also a cnc mode in the ini file that needs to be 1.
