Should the bottom of the Z axis be able to touch the waste board? If no then I defiantly m a mistake. If it did doesn’t that also mean your going to shorten your CNC by the tool length?

Heh, yea, it should be able to touch. Usually if you really screw up, your cnc will do push ups!
