I made a cradle design based on Jeb’s that allows you to fold it out of the way if you need to use the full bed.

I’m actually using a 2mm foam sheet that I’ve wrapped around the plate and can lock in place using a velcro pads. I’ve cut the lower part of it into 15mm or so strips. It works beautifully and is super easy to take off if needed.

I am very sorry I just saw your post. I have attached the files I designed in Fusion360 here in .step format. Hopefully its useful.
